Lancair International, Inc. is looking for a few good people to join our team in the design, manufacturer, marketing and sales of the sleek and fast Lancair aircraft product line, including the new turboprop Evolution, and help us move to the next generation of company growth and aircraft development. The jobs are located in scenic Central Oregon, known as a playground for outdoor enthusiasts, minutes from world class skiing, rock climbing, and hiking.
Entry-level and Experienced Engineers
Our ideal candidate(s) will be designing and developing parts and components as 3D solid models using SolidWorks to fit as assemblies in the production of kit aircraft. You will create conceptual layouts, apply good document practice, and generate assembly and detail drawings. When possible, use of existing parts and components will influence or be utilized in the design and development of new product lines. Additionally, it will be necessary to design or manufacture from raw material and shapes accordingly. Simulations, test article drawings, coordination of test article fabrication and/or validation of initial design through physical test to failure will also be a part of the development cycle. Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or technology from an accredited program, (preferably mechanical or aerospace or foreign equivalent), and three to five years general aviation related experience in airframe, mechanical drafting, or design, or six to ten years equivalent experience.
Avionics Technician
Lancair Avionics, Inc.
is searching for an Avionics Technician to assemble,
wire, test, and installs avionics panels for Lancair
and other experimental aircraft.
Qualifications:
Applicants should be proficient in FAA wiring procedures
and acceptable industry standards. The will
demonstrate exceptional attention to detail in both
wiring and building avionics panels. Fiberglass
experience is a plus.
Highly Qualified Candidates:
Experience and training in electronics technology
and avionics (2 year degree), and/or
AHS in Advanced Electronics Technology/Avionics
Experience in building instrument panels and wiring
aircraft, or
Equivalent military experience in avionics/aircraft
electronics
Duties:
Avionic Technicians are expected to develop and maintain
professional relationships with customers and be a
good team player. They assist other technicians
when needed. Technicians will be required to
install, wire and troubleshoot on board different
experimental aircraft.
